HITEC WELDING PTY LTD performs material supply, shop detailing, fabrication, welding and installation of pressure piping and process plant equipment to meet or exceed all of our customer’s expectations with respect to quality, cost and delivery.

We manage and maintain a quality management process to assure, measure, record and document the requirements placed upon us.

This process requires a commitment to the ongoing training of our people, the continued search for self improvement and, as a result, the achievement of target cost, work schedule, specification, nil rework and nil incidents or injuries to our infrastructure or employees.

We recognise that every job we do is part of a collective effort and we will actively cooperate with our clients, our suppliers and all other parties that may be involved in the job we do. Hitec Welding believes that the best projects are those in which success is shared.

Hitec Welding Brisbane responds to challenges by stepping back in aid of identifying the best possible solutions in design, procurement, engineering and also adopting the latest technology to ensuring that the correct equipment is utilized for each task.

HITEC Welding Brisbane sets itself apart by providing a one stop shop for supply of manufactured piping, vessel, structural and skid mounted equipment servicing the mining, Petro Chemical and Coal Seam Gas industries.

HITEC Welding has designed and constructed purpose built manufacturing facilities and has plans to triplicate the workshop in the near future. The facility is conveniently located adjacent to the Brisbane Airport and Gateway Freeway.

The current site facilities include an undercover area of some 8,000 sq.m. and approximately 22,000 sq.m. uncovered area/ lay down yard.

The workshop facility was fitted with two-12 m wide x 8 m high roller doors and in addition another five roller doors (6 m wide x 6 m high) were also installed.

The workshop was fitted with two over head cranes with a combined lifting capacity of 15MT. In addition to the overhead cranes each welding and fitting bay has been fitted with individual cranes with a safe work load limit of 500 kg at maximum reach.

The covered area and the uncovered area are made up of the following:

  • Fabrication workshop
  • Mechanical skid assembly
  • Pressure testing area
  • The “Igloo” for Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I;) installation and wiring
  • Additional warehouse for E&I; installation & wiring and storage
  • Warehouse for FAT & IFAT, programming, configuration and testing
  • 3 x “bomb” bays for radiographic & x-ray testing (each bay surrounded by concrete & steel barriers for personnel and passersby protection
  • 2 Levels Office Building
  • Uncovered area used for lay down of skids/equipment and loading/unloading
  • 12 x 40 ft. containers for sensitive electrical equipment (transmitters, actuated valves, panels, etc.)

HITEC Welding Brisbane is committed to ensuring cost efficiencies without compromise on quality and safety.  The workshop facility is fitted with the latest in manufacturing equipment and welding technological advancements.

In the very near future the throughput capacity of HITEC Welding Brisbane will increase significantly with the further development of its current workshop facility to include an additional 6,000 sq.m. covered area, industrial blasting and surface treatment facility materials handling and dispatch facility, electrical and instrumentation fitting facility and offices to house the increasing workforce.

The Management of Hitec Welding recognises that it is responsible for the safety and welfare of its personnel in the workplace and is therefore aware of the importance of an ongoing commitment to active participation in a declared Safety Programme.

HITEC Welding supports its Client’s efforts in improving the safety performance of its operations and will make every reasonable effort to achieve the goal of eliminating Lost Time Accidents on any project.

Supervisors are required to give priority to safety and will be held accountable for working conditions under their direct control. They are to ensure that Hitec Welding policy must be observed at all times.

All employees are responsible for the performance of all duties in a manner, which ensures their own safety, and health, and that of others. They are required to observe all safety directives and procedures and
to discuss with their Supervisors any hazard, which they themselves cannot eliminate.
